Thropy design for the Canarian Islands Tourist Awards (Premios de Turismo 'Islas Canarias'). The graphic shape of an island, or a country for that matter, is unique and therefore may have an emotional value to the people who recognize them.
The shapes used in a map are flat but by layering them inside a solid transparent block, they become 3D. Bright-colored perspex was combined with hardwood to turn it into a precious object worth keeping in the future.
